Beji Temple is located in Sangsit Village, it takes about 8 km from the city of Singaraja to the east. This object has become one of the cultural attractions in Buleleng and can be reached by car which takes about 10 minutes from Singaraja. And if you are stay in Lovina, you can only take 20 minutes to get there. Beji Temple has an area of 2500 M² with a calculation of 100 M long and 25 M wide.
The location of this temple is flat and not far from the beach. The building of Beji Temple is typical architecture of Buleleng faces west. Historically it was rather difficult to determine when the Beji Temple began to be known and started to be built. The historical relics in the form of ancient objects and written information (inscriptions) did not exist. But after traced according to the name and condition, “Beji” is the same as “bath” or well which is a source of fertility.
The reality in the eastern area of Beji Temple itself is that there is a former spring that once functioned as a pond. Apparently farmers who really need water for irrigating paddy fields greatly glorify the spring, which then regulates irrigation through subak. Subak is a well-known irrigation organization since the reign of Marakata in 1074 AD or 11th century.
This Subak Beji Temple has a very large meaning and benefit for the Sangsit Village community, especially the farming community as a sacred place. This is the place where the farmers asking for safety and prosperity.

CULTURAL BEAUTY
The decoration relief of the building is very unique and interesting. The building located on the innards of the temple is named Gedong Simpen. The biggest Pelinggih located in the middle of the rocks, decorated with snakes and the peak there is a statue of Dewi Sri with an old parrot statue. In addition, Beji Temple is full of North Balinese decorations, as is also found in Meduwe Karang temple and Jagaraga temple.
